N’Vasekie Responds to Opinion
Leader, Sekou Kenneh’s Threat to boycott Felmausa Inauguration
October 29, 2009 I
have been watching this war of words between AB Kromah and some of our
brothers and sisters with complete disapointment. These kinds of
personal attacks against each other is not healthy for our community.
Nothing is wrong with having different point of views if we can argue
the case without personal insults. Once an arguement has been reduced to
personal insults such as the one we are seeing here, it loses it
essence. We are all grown-ups, heads of families and leaders in the
community. That's why it is unhealthy for us to reduce ourselves to
these kinds of child plays. Having said that, I will like to register my disagreement with brother Sekou Kenneh threatening to boycot the FELMAUSA inauguration if AB Kromah does not apologise publicly. If AB has written or said something about some folks in Minnesota unrelated to the current attacks and counter-attacks, one would have seen the reason for the apology. If brother Kenneh's altimatum to the Board Chairman is based on the recent negative exchanges, it is wrong to demand any apology from him. All sides in this insulting arguement has breached the common protocol based on mutual respect in our community. |
