A.B. Kromah On Anti-Corruption Strategy

Former Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) Chief of Staff Mr. Abraham Kromah who has been studying in the United States says he is in the country with an anti-corruption agenda. Mr. Kromah who is on a visit said he intends to meet with functionaries of government responsible for anti-corruption activities. “I intend to meet LACC to push those strategies that would encourage zero tolerance for corruption,” Mr. Kromah said. Mr. Kromah in an INQUIRER interview said there must be a practical stance against corruption if the nation's resources are to benefit all and not a privileged few. Mr. Kromah said he is keen on the anti-corruption strategy especially with criminal justice being his area of specialty. He noted that with a serious fight against corruption coupled with peace and security, the enabling environment can be created for local and international investment for the benefit of the Liberian populace.

Mr. Kromah promised to assist the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) with his expertise and professional papers when called upon to assist.Touching on development here in Liberia, Mr. Kromah lauded the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf led Administration for the level of improvement in the country. “I am impressed with the infrastructural development in our country as compared to how things were before,” he added. On reconciliation, Mr. Kromah said there is a lot that the President can do to bring about reconciliation and the reunification of all Liberians following years of civil war. He stressed that President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf can do this taking into account her qualification and ability to reconcile the people. Mr. Kromah, a one time Deputy Director of Police for CID Affairs recently earned a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice with emphasis on Police Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.He also earned a Master's Degree in Human Resource Development with emphasis on Performance Analysis from Seton Hall University.
